Columbus in the 21st Century

Today 5th Grade performed a play, entitled 'Columbus: A 21st Century Production', which the students had written and directed themselves. The play tells the story of Columbus as if set in the modern day with characters communicating with cells phones and traveling by plane instead of by boat. The central message of the play revolved around the important goods that were exchanged between the Native Americans and Europeans. The performance was enjoyed by parents and students alike.
