Cafeteria Almost Complete

Principal Darnell Cuevas is excited about the completion of her New Year's Resolution to get the cafeteria operational. Boston College has sent down a team of 80 students who are staying in our gym to volunteer in the community and the school. The cafeteria has been a buzz with activity all week. The college students have been pressure washing and painting as contractors complete a myriad of tasks to make the cafeteria habitable. Parents Bobby Webb and Gary Bardwell are completing the plumbing and installation of doors while another group of parents, Mike Spencer, John Mitchell, and a friend completed the removal of damaged equipment. New employee, Kent Frederick, hired as part of the Disaster Relief Grant, has been busily painting door jams in preparation for the new doors while Carla Dott is working to seal the floors. Donors from around the country have made the contracting work possible. W.P. Hickman Systems, Inc. gave adonation for the electrical restoration while Marin Luxury Cars has pledged the replacement of cafeteria equipment.
